Welcome to my blog!

Hajimemashite! I’ve decided to set up a blog charting my journey from a mere admirer of Japanese culture to (fingers crossed) a seasoned veteran of the land of the rising sun. The current plan is to apply for the JET programme in September 2008, so I hope this blog will provide insight into that process for others interested in doing something similar.

I also hope that this blog will serve as a great way for people to learn more about Japan through Western eyes.
